In August Emma & Evan got married and I was on hand to shoot their wedding photography! I caught up with Emma and her bride tribe in Newtownabbey in the morning to shoot bridal prep and when I arrived it was all go!
Emma gave both her make up artist Kim Annesley and hairdresser Alanna McGivern glowing reviews :
“Kim was amazing! I loved Kim’s style of up styles when I first seen her work on Instagram and she did not disappoint! Communication with Kim on the run up to the wedding was also brilliant, which I really appreciated! She was always keeping in touch with you regarding hair trials etc. She is such a lovely person with incredible talent! All the hairs were gorgeous and stayed in place all day and night!”
“I had never been to Alanna before for make up but I had heard amazing things, and after having a look on her Instagram page I booked! Alanna is amazing at what she does! All the girls make ups were beautiful!”
Once hair and make up was done it was time for Emma to get dressed. Emma’s incredible dress was purchased at Eden Bridal who Emma rated very highly.
“Kimberley at Eden bridal is so lovely, she makes you feel so comfortable from the moment you enter her shop! I had a very relaxing and enjoyable experience picking my dress with a wee glass of bubbly! Although Kimberly doesn’t make you feel pressured into buying a dress, I bought my dress in Eden bridal which was the first and only shop I went to! I even went back and got my bridesmaids dresses from it as well! They have such a beautiful selection of dresses!”
On to the Ross Park Hotel we went, with Steve Ames delivering a cracking ceremony, full of personality and laughs which really set the tone for the day! Emma & Evan (and the entire clan of family and friends) were unreal to work with and the Ross Park as always delivered on all fronts with it’s well presented grounds, superb food and attention to detail.
Emma loved the whole Ross Park experience :
“Ross Park Hotel were brilliant! All the staff are more than helpful, nothing was too much bother for them! They were happy to help with any questions or requests that you had! They made sure your day went as smooth as possible and were by your side guiding you throughout the whole day!”
I asked Emma if anyone else deserved a special mention and she said she had to mention her flowers which she got from Blossom Stories :
“Our flowers were amazing! Jurgita did a brilliant job! The flowers were so beautiful when my mum saw them the morning of the wedding she cried (happy tears of course) Jurgita was amazing on the day of the wedding moving the flower arch from the ceremony room to the reception room, also re-arranging the flower pillars into a lovely display around my cake!”
I asked Emma what advice she would give to couples who are currently in the midst of wedding planning and she said :
“My advice would be to just enjoy the day and the whole run up to it! Try not to get stressed about all the little details as they are not important on the day! Although you want everything to be perfect the most important thing is spending time with everyone around you that you love and just enjoying your day!”

“I would like to share our amazing experience with our photographer Chris! Chris had a such a relaxed, down to earth attitude which made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera! He made sure to get all the traditional family & wedding party photos done pretty soon after the ceremony, which allowed us to enjoy the rest of our day! As well as the traditional pictures, Chis also took so many natural, unposed photos which I love! I was so pleased when I got my pictures back just a few weeks later, Chris had captured so many special moments throughout the day!”
